We are proud that Ofsted recognised in July 2018 that we are a "welcoming and inclusive school" and that children told the inspector that it was "easy to make friends at English Martyrs".
We normally have several open days during the year on which prospective parents can come and learn more about our school. You would also be welcome to visit at other times.
Unfortunately, we are not able to arrange in-person visits or tours at the present time. We are putting together a “Virtual Open Day” which will be available very soon.
We are always more than happy to answer any questions by email or over the phone – just contact the office to make an appointment for a call.
Applications for places in Early Years in September 2021 have to be submitted to Reading Borough Council by 15th January 2021. You should also submit a separate Supplementary Information Form directly to the school.
We normally contact parents with information about transition arrangements (school visits, parent information sessions, uniform ordering etc.) during the summer term. Those arrangements may need to be a little bit different this year, depending on the situation with the Covid-19 school closures, but we will keep you informed as the situation develops. We will be as creative as we need to be to ensure that children make a smooth and successful start to their time at English Martyrs!
Applications for places in other year groups are called "in-year applications".
Admission forms should be sent to Reading Borough Council. The “Supplementary Information Form” should be returned to the School. Please follow the links below for further details.
