Admissions

We are proud that Ofsted recognised in July 2018 that we are a "welcoming and inclusive school" and that children told the inspector that it was "easy to make friends at English Martyrs".

We normally have several open days during the year on which prospective parents can come and learn more about our school. You would also be welcome to visit at other times.

We are always more than happy to answer any questions by email or over the phone – just contact the office to make an appointment for a call.

Applications for places in Early Years in September 2024 have to be submitted to Reading Borough Council (or your local council if you do not live in the Borough of Reading) by 15th January 2024. The RBC portal for online applications to Reading primary schools will open on 10th November 2023. You should also submit a separate Supplementary Information Form directly to the school.

We want every child to make a smooth and successful start to their time at English Martyrs and we will contact parents of new Early Years children in the summer term with information about transition arrangements (school visits, parent information sessions, uniform ordering, etc.)
